The Jackson Township Supervisors held a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building for the purpose of purchasing a new police vehicle. Members present were Supervisors Dave Bracken, Bruce Baker along with Secretary-Treasurer / Manager Dave Hirko and Solicitor Bill Barbin. The meeting was called to order by Dave Bracken, Chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
Board Roll Call was taken with Supervisors Baker & Bracken present. Manager Hirko said Supervisor Bob Stephens called him and would not be able to attend due to illness.
Public Comments Concerning Agenda Items:
The Supervisors opened bids received for a 2005 model Chevrolet Impala with police package. The lone bid received was from Gap Chevrolet of Windber for the price of $17,065.00.
Motion Baker, second Bracken to purchase a 2005 model Chevrolet Impala with police package from Gap Chevrolet. Vote-2 yes.
Chairman Bracken announced that the Board of Supervisors next scheduled meeting will be held on January 26, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building.
Motion Baker, second Bracken to adjourn the meeting at 8:37 am. Vote-2 yes.
