Public Comments:
Clair Michaels commented, up there at the top of Wagner Road off of
Chickaree Hill Road they only plow straight across. Why don’t they plow that so
you can swing down towards Vintondale a lot easier? They only plow that straight
across there. . you got to come up and it’s hard to make a right hand turn
coming up out of Vintondale back onto Wagner Road because it’s plowed straight
across. Trucks and stuff will a lot of time push it out but until they get to
it. . . .can’t the Township plow truck push that out? The old stuff in the
Township. . .are they planning on building a building for it. . .antiques and
that. . historical? Are they planning on building a building or are they
planning on going in with Nanty Glo? Chairman Baker replied,
they’re not building no building. Michaels said, I know we were
thinking of giving Nanty Glo money towards their historical site and where are
we going to store our historical stuff when we get it? Baker said,
I suppose that’s a bridge we’ll cross when we get there if we have anything to
store but I do expect that this Committee in Jackson will participate with the
Nanty Glo Historic Society. Michaels said, okay because you know
what I mean. . .we give them and then we decide to build one ourselves, it’s
going to cost the taxpayers a lot of extra money. That’s what I was gettin at.
