SUPERVISOR’S MEETING
February 8, 2007
The Jackson Township Supervisors held their regular meeting at 8:00 a.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Members present were Supervisors Dave Bracken and Bruce Baker along with Secretary-Treasurer / Manager Dave Hirko and Solicitor Bill Barbin. The meeting was called to order by Bruce Baker.
Board Roll Call was taken with Supervisors Dave Bracken & Bruce Baker present. Supervisor Bob Stephens was absent.

Other New Business:
Motion Bracken, second Baker to hire Devon Tarner as a Part-Time Police
Officer for Jackson Township pending receipt of MPT Number. Vote-2 yes.
Motion Bracken, second Baker to hire Jeremy Scislowicz as a Part-Time Police Officer for Jackson Township pending receipt of MPT Number. Vote-2 yes.
Other New Business:
Motion Baker, second Bracken to enter into a lease agreement with
Woodland Park to hold the Jackson Township Fishing Derby on May 5, 2007. Vote-2
yes.
Public Comments:
Steve Yurasek commented, these police officers. . . are we doing
background checks on these people? Chairman Baker replied, it
looks like a lot. Yurasek continued. . .with so many going in and
out. Baker said, you remember last month we accepted the
resignation of three. One got a job in the mines, one got a job as head of
security at Bon Ton. Manager Hirko said, Hines was only working
one shift. Baker added, they all got jobs and left on good terms.
. . it was just that they got better jobs. . . so it looks like a lot going
through a revolving door but you can’t force them.

announced, the next Board of Supervisors meeting
will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township
Municipal Building.
