Executive Sessions Held:
Public Comments Concerning Agenda
Motion Wallet, second Bracken to approve the Subdivision of Brian Oleksa. Vote-3 yes. Jerry Thomas said, on behalf of Brian Oleksa, I want to thank the Supervisors of Jackson Township and East Taylor Township for their cooperation in this big pain in the butt kind of deal that we've done. . I want to thank you all.
Other New Business:
Motion Wallet, second Bracken to approve the Oleksa Water Supply Agreement with East Taylor Municipal Authority. Solicitor Barbin said, and this is just giving our Township permission to East Taylor Township Municipal Authority to serve Lot # 2 in the Oleksa Subdivision, not any more than Lot 2. The motion was opened up to public comments. Pat Lape said, I talked to Alex Svirsko the other day. .I'm the one who wants to build the home on that Subdivision. He stated that he was going to have some items for you. Barbin said, that's what we just did. Lape continued, according to Mr. Svirsko he had somewhere in their minutes where East Taylor Water Authority would not service anyone living in Jackson Township unless Jackson Township approved it. Barbin said, that's what we just did. Service areas for water and sewer have to be approved by the local governing body and it's East Taylor's water coming into Jackson. . Jackson's normally served by Jackson Township Water Authority. . .they need our formal permission to provide you water. A vote was then taken. Vote-3 yes.
Steve Yurasek asked, is the Township drawing up a Nuisance Ordinance? I heard some comments last night at the Zoning Hearing thing and that's why I wondered. Chairman Baker replied, well the Planning Commission is look at it and that's been since almost a year ago. Solicitor Barbin said, I gave them some examples. . .we have some real old. . . a little bit here. . a little bit there and we're using a 1970's Solid Waste Ordinance to develop prosecutions for junk. There talk about updating it but they're going back and forth over it. . . and you got to be careful about a Nuisance Ordinance in a Township because there's some real suburban areas like Vinco and some real country areas like Wagner Road or out where I am. It's gotta fit both places.
Chairman Baker announced, The Board of Supervisors next scheduled meeting will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building.
Motion Bracken, second Wallet to adjourn the meeting at 8:04 a.m. Vote-3 yes.
