SUPERVISORíS MEETING
May 27, 2010

 The Jackson Township Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Members present were Supervisors Bruce Baker, John Wallet and Mark Westrick along with Secretary-Treasurer / Manager Dave Hirko and Solicitor Bill Barbin. The meeting was called to order by Bruce Baker, Chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The April, 2010 Police Report submitted by Police Chief Bob Fatula was presented. The figures for April were as follows: 911 Calls dispatched to Police: 380 Reportable Part I Crimes: 9 broken down as follows: Larceny-7 and Assaults-2. Reportable Part II Crimes: 30 broken down as follows: DUI (Driving While Under the Influence)-8, Receiving Stolen Property-6, Disorderly Conduct-3, Fraud-3, Drunkenness-1, Embezzlement-1 and all others-8.

Motion Westrick, second Wallet on approving the time sheets from April 18, 2010 through May 1, 2010 and May 2, 2010 through May 15, 2010. Vote-3 yes.

Public Comments:

Eugene Kist said, I spoke with Mr. Barbin and he said itís being taken care of this sewage situation in Vintondale down there and Iím satisfied with it. Solicitor Barbin said, Iím going to file that on Monday. . I expect them to be filed with the explanation. Kist asked, Do these ladies and gentlemen know what happened down there? Barbin replied, they know. . they saw the letter. Kist said, thank you very much. Barbin continued, A person got an attorney and claimed there was no problem. . that no problem existed at all there. . .and we provided him with copies of the documentation and the attorney never answered anything back.

Clair Michaels said, when you're mowing. . .have them mow clear up on that bank. . I asked him and he said he will. Chairman Baker said, it just wasn't that high last time but he will. Michaels said, yeah. . it looks better than those trees starting to grow.

Judy Yeager Dubovecky said, we're from up on Raymond Drive and we wanted to know if you had anything on the Agenda for fixing our road? Chairman Baker said, yes. . it's not on the Agenda but we have some road work slated for up there. Dubovecky continued, and also for that piece of ground on Raymond Drive that we want to give to the Supervisors. I need a formal Resolution from the Supervisors with all three signing. Solicitor Barbin replied, I can make a Resolution saying that we agreed. The Supervisors passed a motion so I can use that for the Resolution.

Debbie Pasko asked, I was wondering if there was anything new on the change to Residential form Agricultural? Chairman Baker replied, there's a Planning Commission Meeting next month scheduled and the draft map has been completed so that will be available June 21st. Pasko asked, does that mean they're going to go ahead and change it? Baker replied, no. . they'll present that draft to the public at the Public Meeting.

Announcements:

Chairman Baker announced, The Board of Supervisors next regularly scheduled meetings will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 8:00 AM and Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. The Jackson Township Senior Center will be hosting a Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 11:00 am at Veterans Park to honor all veterans past and present. Please come out and show your support for our Vets.
