SUPERVISORíS MEETING
November 12, 2009

The Jackson Township Supervisors held their regular meeting at 8:00 a.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Members present were Supervisors Dave Bracken, Bruce Baker and John Wallet as well as Manager Dave Hirko and Solicitor Bill Barbin. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bruce Baker with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

said, we will now review the bids for Mitchell Park Phase I Project. The bids received were as follows:

Manager Hirko couldn't find the lump sum amount on SI Contracting but the bid bond reflected 10% of the total bid. A representative from SI Contracting was in attendance and he had the sheet with the lump sum written on it and handed it to Solicitor Bill Barbin. Solicitor Barbin wrote a note on the bottom of that page that it was received at 8:03 am. Chairman Baker said, we will be reviewing these bids and then let everybody know our decision. Supervisor Wallet added, We'd like to thank all the bidders for their participation.

Motion Wallet, second Bracken o approve Resolution 07-09 approving Agreement of Settlement and General Release between Andrea & Mark Sossong, Jackson Township Water Authority and Jackson Township concerning water tank site for Swigle Mountain Road Water Project. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Wallet, second Bracken to approve Resolution 08-09 approving Agreement of Settlement and General Release between Richard & Rose Marie Bodenschatz, Jackson Township Water Authority and Jackson Township concerning water tank site for Swigle Mountain Road Water Project pending approval of the Jackson Township Water authority and Richard & Rose Marie Bodenschatz. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Bracken, second Wallet to accept resignation of Mark Westrick as a Part-Time Police Officer for Jackson Township. Vote-3 yes.

Other New Business:
John Wallet said, I only have one comment. . .my comment is that hopefully this whole ordeal with the Sossongs and the Water Tank on Swigle Mountain Road is hopefully now at an end. Rich? Rich Wray replied, yes. . . Solicitor Barbin said, I think so. . we have a couple papers to be signed yet, but yes. Wallet said, the only thing that's been accomplished is that it's costing the Township and the Authorities a lot of extra money and we're back to where we were in the beginning almost. Hopefully, it's all over now.

Announcements:
Chairman Baker
announced, The Board of Supervisors next scheduled meeting will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Jackson Township will hold itís 4th Annual Light-Up Night at Veterans Park on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. There will be over 15,000 lights, trees decorated by businesses, organizations, churches and families, model train display, refreshments, caroling and a special visit from Santa.
