SUPERVISORíS MEETING
November 18, 2010

The Jackson Township Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Members present were Supervisors Bruce Baker, John Wallet and Mark Westrick along with Secretary-Treasurer / Manager Dave Hirko and Solicitor Bill Barbin. The meeting was called to order by Bruce Baker, Chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Board Roll Call was taken with all three Supervisors present.

Steve Yurasek said, we keep shrinking with the money and the money should be goin the other way.

Manager Hirko said, I would just like to note, the Capital Fund. . it only shows a small amount but we did not receive the landfill revenue this month yet so actually it will be more than disbursements when we receive that check.

Motion
Wallet, second Westrick to approve subdivision of Peoples Natural Gas Company. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Westrick, second Wallet to approve Resolution 06-10 setting the tax structure for 2011 as follows: Real Estate Tax-3 3/4 Mills, Fire Hydrant Tax-Ĺ Mill, Rescue Service Tax-1 Mill, Earned Income Tax-Ĺ %, Real Estate Transfer Tax-Ĺ %, Per Capita Tax-$5.00 and Local Municipal Services Tax-$10.00. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Wallet, second Westrick to approve Capital Reserve Fund bill list for the period of October 29, 2010 through November 18, 2010 and transfer $ 18,938.80 from the Capital Reserve Fund to the General Fund. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Westrick, second Wallet on approving the time sheets from October 17, 2010 through October 30, 2010 and October 31, 2010 through November 13, 2010. Vote-3 yes.

Public Comments:
Clair Michaels asked, are you ready for winter? Chairman Baker replied, yes we are. . . all the trucks are ready. . salt and cinders but we donít need them this year. . right? Eugene Kist asked, if we get a lot of snow, how are we going to pay for it? Baker replied, because I got money in the Highway Aid Fund. Hopefully it wonít be as bad as last winter.

Announcements:
Chairman Baker
announced, The Board of Supervisors next regularly scheduled meetings will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 8:00 AM and Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Jackson Township will hold itís 5th Annual Light-Up Night at Veterans Park on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. There will be over 15,000 lights, trees decorated by businesses, organizations, churches and families, model train display, refreshments, caroling and a special visit from Santa.
