SUPERVISORíS MEETING
November 19, 2009

The Jackson Township Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Members present were Supervisors Dave Bracken, Bruce Baker and John Wallet along with Secretary-Treasurer / Manager Dave Hirko and Solicitor Bill Barbin. The meeting was called to order by Bruce Baker, Chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Board Roll Call was taken with all three Supervisors present.

Township Police Report
The October, 2009 Police Report submitted by Police Chief Bob Fatula was presented.
The figures for October were as follows: 911 Calls dispatched to Police: 295 Reportable Part I Crimes: 9 broken down as follows: Larceny-8 and Assaults-1. Reportable Part II Crimes: 27 broken down as follows: DUI (Driving While Under the Influence)-4, Receiving Stolen Property-3, Vandalism-3, Drugs-1, Embezzlement-1 and all others-15. Calls Resulting in Cases: 24, Total Arrestees: 16, Total Suspects: 3, Total Victims: 16, DUI Arrests: 3, Traffic Citations: 29, Non-Traffic Citations: 6, Total Warnings: 0.

Motion Bracken, second Wallet to approve Resolution 09-09 setting the tax structure for 2010 as follows: Real Estate Tax-3 3/4 Mills, Fire Hydrant Tax-Ĺ Mill, Rescue Service Tax-1 Mill, Earned Income Tax-Ĺ %, Real Estate Transfer Tax-Ĺ %, Per Capita Tax-$5.00 and Local Municipal Services Tax-$10.00. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Wallet, second Bracken to authorize advertisement of proposed budget for Jackson Township for 2010 as follows: General Fund $ 965.560.00, State Fund $ 152,510.95, Fire Hydrant Fund $ 11,000.00, Rescue Fund $ 9,000.00, Capital Reserve Fund $ 850,000.00, Senior Center Fund $ 63,143.00; Total of All Funds $: 2,051,213.95. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Wallet, second Bracken to approve three year Labor Agreement between the Laborerís District Council of Western Pennsylvania - Local 910 and Jackson Township. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Bracken, second Wallet to approve Capital Reserve Fund bill list for the period of October 30, 2009 through November 19, 2009 and transfer $ 38,587.47 from the Capital Reserve Fund to the General Fund. Vote-3 yes.

Announcements:
Chairman Baker
announced, The Board of Supervisors next regularly scheduled meetings will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 8:00 AM and Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Jackson Township will hold itís 4th Annual Light-Up Night at Veterans Park on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. There will be over 15,000 lights, trees decorated by businesses, organizations, churches and families, model train display, refreshments, caroling and a special visit from Santa.
