The Jackson Township Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Members present were Supervisors Dave Bracken, Bruce Baker, Guy Ellenberger along with Secretary-Treasurer / Manager Dave Hirko. Solicitor Bill Barbin was not able to attend. The meeting was called to order by Bruce Baker, Chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Board Roll Call was taken with all three Supervisors present.

Executive Sessions:
Chairman Baker
announced, An Executive Session was held on December 13th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm concerning personnel matters.

Public Comments Concerning Agenda Items:

Bracken, second Ellenberger to approve the minutes of the Board of Supervisors Meetings held on November 8, 2007 and November 29, 2007. Vote-3 yes.

Township Police Report
The November, 2007 Police Report submitted by Police Chief Bob Fatula was presented. The figures for November, 2007 were as follows: 911 Calls dispatched to Police: 182 Reportable Part I Crimes: 5 broken down as follows: Assaults-2, Larceny-2 and Burglaries-1. Reportable Part II Crimes: 25 broken down as follows: Stolen Property-8, DUI (Driving While Under the Influence)-3, Vandalism-3, Public Drunkenness-2, Disorderly Conduct-1, Embezzlement-1, Fraud-1 and all others-6. Calls Resulting in Cases: 21, Total Arrestees: 9, Total Suspects: 3, Total Victims: 12, DUI Arrests: 3, Traffic Citations: 11, Non-Traffic Citations: 1, Total Warnings: 1.

Manager Hirko
said, We received a letter from the DCNR basically notifying us that we have been awarded a grant of $123,600. from the Community Conservation Partnership Program and it is for. . . the application we filed was for expansion of facilities at Mitchell Park . . .in a nutshell it was for two 40 x 60 pavilions, concrete pads, additional parking, public restrooms and some ground work. . .extension of utilities. . . probably this is the largest grant we’ve ever received. Chairman Baker said, yes it is . . very good job on the plans. Hirko replied, yes. . the planning was the key. Baker added, and it brought us the money.

Bracken, second Ellenberger to approve subdivision (side lot addition) of Sara Jane Leckey. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Ellenberger, second Bracken to approve subdivision of Bruce & Tammy Baker. Vote-Bracken & Ellenberger-yes with Baker abstaining.

Motion Bracken, second Ellenberger to adopt model resolution for plan revision by Module Component 3-M for Fords Corner North. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Ellenberger, second Bracken on transferring $ 24,729.73 from the Capital Reserve Fund to the General Fund - $7,800.00 to Richard Sutter & Associates for planning and consulting services, $5,741.66 to Naugle Insurance for January installment. $5,728.88 to Luther P. Miller for fuel & heating oil, $2,146.00 to H.A. Thompson for 2008 treasurer bond, $1,818.69 to Thermodoor for garage door replacement panels and $1,494.50 to Bob’s Radio Services for police radio repairs. Vote-3 yes.

Motion Bracken, second Ellenberger on approving the time sheets from November 18, 2007 through December 1, 2007 and December 2, 2007 through December 15, 2007. Vote-3 yes.

Chairman Baker
announced, The Board of Supervisors Annual Reorganization Meeting will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 7:00 PM. The Board of Supervisors next regularly scheduled meetings will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 8:00 AM and Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building. Now. . .we wanted to have a special event here but just couldn’t come up with anything so on behalf of the Township we thank you for stepping up filling the vacancy and we do certainly whole-heartedly appreciate everything you do for the Township. Ellenberger said, no problem. Baker added, we appreciate and we hope you’ll stay around. . . we appreciate not only this but the help you give us with the computers. Manager Hirko added, and also the Economic Development committee. Baker said, yes. . thank you very much.

Ellenberger, second Bracken to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 pm. Vote-3 yes.
