POWER PLANT OPEN HOUSE
Conectiv Energy will be hosting an open house on their new proposed Hinckston Run Power Plant on Tuesday, October 15th from 6 to 8:30 at the Jackson Township Fire Hall. The proposed plant is a 600 million dollar gas fired plant using state of the art technology which will be located off Dishong Mountain Road. The plant is projected to begin ground preparation work in 2003 with construction of the actual plant taking place in 2004. Employees from Conectiv will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Refreshments will be served.

SPEED LIMIT & WEIGHT LIMIT STUDIES & POSTINGS
Speed limit studies were recently completed on Kepple Road, Blackburn Road, Snyder Road and Adams Avenue. Adams Avenue is now posted at 35 mph and the other three roads in the study are posted at 30 mph. Weight Limit Studies were also completed for all Township roads and many have been posted at 10 or 12 ton limits to protect from users who may damage the roads.

REFLECTORS ADDED ON PIKE ROAD
Reflectors were recently added on the two concrete islands where Pike Road goes off of Route 22. It was pointed out from a concerned citizen that it is hard to see the islands when turning onto Pike
form Route 22. The suggestion was investigated by the roadmasters in conjunction with PennDOT and the reflectors you now see in place makes the area much safer.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP SENIOR CENTER COOKBOOKS AVAILABLE
The Jackson Township Senior Center has cookbooks available for $8.00. If you are interested you can contact the Sr. Center at 322-3327.

SEWAGE EXPANSION TO BE DISCUSSED AT SUPERVISORS MEETING
At the October 31st Jackson Township Supervisors Meeting, a representative from Keller Engineers will be available to present plans by the Jackson / East Taylor Sewer Authority to expand in the
Brazil Lane & Cherrywood Estates sections of the Township. There will be time address any questions the public may have. The meeting is at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Township Municipal Building in Mundys Corner.

HALLOWEEN PARADE SET
The Jackson Twp. Fire Department will be holding its annual Halloween Parade on the afternoon of Sunday, October 27th. Treats and prizes will be available following the parade at the Jackson Township Fire Hall. All Township children are welcome to participate in the parade.
