The regular monthly meeting of the Jackson Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Paul Wyrwas at 6:30 PM. Present were Paul Wyrwas, Bruce Baker, Al Gailey, Don Knopsnyder and Laird Rager.
Steve Yurasek asked for update on proposed industrial park on Chickaree. Bruce explained Township is completing the application for grant money and will submit when it is completed.
Motion by Don, seconded by Paul to approve the minutes of the April 18, 2011, minutes. All in favor, motion passed.
Site Plan submitted by Peoples Gas for installation of a new injection well on their property on Dishong Mountain Road was reviewed. There were no comments
Motion by Al, seconded by Laird to approve the Peoples Site Plan. All in favor, plan approved.
Kenneth Miller Subdivision and side lot addition to Michael Rodkey property on Blue Dolphin Road was reviewed. There were no comments. Motion by Don, seconded by Bruce to approve the plan as submitted. All in favor, motion passed. Al abstained because he had prepared the plan.
Fred Gillen Subdivision on Saddle Street was reviewed. There were no comments. Motion by Al, seconded by Bruce to approve the plan as submitted. All in favor, motion passed.
Nicholas Barber Subdivision and side lot addition on Finntown Road was reviewed. The Sewage Planning Module had not been received. Motion by Bruce to table action on the plan until all information is received, seconded by Don. All in favor, motion passed. Al abstained because he had prepared the plan.
Discussed the draft of the proposed Nuisance Ordinance. Paul recommended adding a section prohibiting the creation of a landfill on public or private property by dumping of household or construction waste. Bruce stated the township has an ordinance which regulates solid waste disposal. He will have a cross reference to that ordinance placed in the Nuisance Ordinance.
Motion by Bruce, seconded by Don to recommend passage of the Nuisance Ordinance by the Township Supervisors. All in favor, motion passed
