May 21, 2007
The Jackson Township Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Don Knopsnyder on May 21, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. All members were present except for Paul Wyrwas.
There were no public comments.
Laird Rager made a motion to approve the minutes of the public meeting on the proposed Subdivision Ordinance and the regular monthly meeting of April 16, 2007. The motion was seconded by Bruce Baker. All in favor. Motion passed.
Transportation Program 2009
Letter from Cambria County Planning Commission re. Draft subdivison ordinance which includes their recommendations to be included in the ordinance and they will be awaiting our recommendations.
Letter from the township sent to the water and sewer authorities requesting that consider working on plans to expand water and sewer within the township if they have not yet done so.
The site plan of Patrick Patterson was reviewed. Al Gailey made a motion to approve the site plan and the motion was seconded by Laird Rager. All in favor. Motion passed.
Bruce Baker said that everyone is to review the draft subdivision ordinance and make their thoughts known and they will be relayed to Suter.
Zoning Ordinance amendments: Bruce stated that nothing has been done on the other stuff and he is content that they are getting caught up on the last couple things.
Central Cambria Coalition: Bruce Baker said that they have reduced the Joint Planning Commission to a Steering Committee and that Don Knopsnyder and Paul Wyrwas are the on the committee and they need one supervisor to be on the committee.
Bruce stated that he would see if they could set up a joint meeting with all the authorities in the evening so that more people could possibly attend. Al Gailey said that he thought they were supposed to set up a joint meeting with the Zoning Board every quarter. Don stated they he thought they were going to meet twice a year. Bruce said that they needed to pick a date and set the meeting up.
Al Gailey made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Bruce Baker seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
