PLANNING COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 18,  2006

The Jackson Township Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Al Gailey on September 18, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. All members were present.

Public Comments
There were no public comments.

Minutes
Don Knopsnyder made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 17, 2006 meeting, the July 25, 2006 meeting and the August 21, 2006 meeting.

Correspondence
There was no correspondence.

New Business
The site plan of Competitive Power Ventures to erect a test tower was reviewed. Don Knopsnyder made a motion to recommend approval of the site plan. The motion was seconded by Paul Wyrwas. All in favor. Motion passed.

The Toner Subdivision was reviewed. Don Knopsnyder made a motion to reject the subdivison due to the lack of a non-building waiver. Al Gailey seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.

Old Business
Windmills - The Board of Supervisors has authorized the solicitor to start the amendment to the zoning ordinance.

Subdivision Ordinance - Waitng on draft for review

Central Cambria Coalition - Keller has been retained to do the cost estimates for the sewer project along the Route 22 corridor. Purchase of a paver has been done. Joint zoning for windmills and coal bed methane drilling in the subdivision ordinance was discussed.

Don Knopsnyder made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 p.m. Bruce Baker seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
