AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE 118
SEPTEMBER 20, 2004 - 6:30 P.M.
Bruce Baker opened the public hearing with the Pledge of Allegiance and Roll Call. All members were present.
Bruce Baker asked for public comments pertaining to the proposed zoning amendment to Section 401 - Conformance and Permits.
Ed Westrick commented that the requirement states that hunting would not be restricted in Jackson Township but he thinks we are running into the problem before was a little deeper into the ordinance where it concerned the gutting of a deer and stuff like that with the entrails left laying in the woods and stuff like that. We could still possibly stop that part of it where you could still hunt but not be allowed to gut the deer in the wood. Is that a possibility? That would mean maybe a little more depth to it.
Will Michaels commented that if he remembered right you did none of the things that Ed asked you to do. The only thing I see here is that Attorney Barbin has his 2 cents into it. Another thing is that there are too many restrictions in the township, state and it is getting ridiculous. He said nobody can do anything without getting some kind of a permit.
There were no other public comments.
Don Knopsnyder made a motion to adjourn the hearing at 6:35 p.m. Laird Rager seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
