OCTOBER 16, 2006
The Jackson Township Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Al Gailey on October 16, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. All members were present.
Jerry Thomas said he would like to discuss the Nischalke subdivision. Al Gailey said it will be added to new business.
Don Knopsnyder made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 18, 2006 meeting. Bruce Baker seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
There was no correspondence.
The site plan of Todd Hayes of Paradise road was reviewed. Bruce Baker made a motion to recommend approval of the plan. The motion was seconded by Paul Wyrwas. Bruce Baker, Paul Wrywas, Al Gailey, and Laird Rager voted in favor. Don Knopsnyder voted no. Motion passed.
The Toner Subdivision, which was tabled last month due to being incomplete because of the lack of non-building waivers, was reviewed. Non-building waiver was presented and Don Knopsnyder made a motion to recommend approval of the subdivision. Laird Rager seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
The proposed subdivision for Sharkey’s Hilltop Recreation Associated by owner/subdividor Edward Nischalke was presented by Jerry Thomas, surveyor. Nichalkes are proposing to divide Lot #2 from Lot #1. Lot #1 is the residual. He said where all the test pits are at that will be an easement for a spray field.
Central Cambria Coalition - Keller has been retained to do the cost estimates for the sewer project along the Route 22 corridor. Purchase of a paver has been done. Joint zoning for windmills and coal bed methane drilling in the subdivision ordinance was discussed.
Don Knopsnyder made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 p.m. Bruce Baker seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
