Vinco Stream Bank Stabilization Project

The Board of Supervisors approved work to be done on this project to alleviate a long time flooding situation in the area of Adams Avenue and behind the Vinco Shopping Center.  The low bid was awarded to Earth Shapers at the September, 2006 Board of Supervisors Meeting.  Specifications for the job were drawn up by the Cambria County Conservation District.  Below are pictures of the completed work.

Jackson Township received a 2006 Erosion & Sedimentation Pollution Control Award at an Awards Ceremony held at the Carrolltown Fire Hall for the Vinco Stream Bank Stabilization Project.  From left to right:  Dave Hirko, Dave Bracken, Bruce Baker and Rob Piper , District Manager of the Cambria County Conservation District.
