A Special Public Meeting was held to discuss proposed Amendments to the Zoning Map and Zoning Ordinance with the regular monthly meeting of the Jackson Township Planning Commission following which was called to order by Chairman Al Gailey at 6:30 pm.

Al Gailey, Don Knopsnyder, Paul Wyrwas, Bruce Baker.  Absent: Laird Rager

Public Comment:
Chairman Al Gailey opened the Meeting for Public Comment on the Proposed Amendments to the Zoning Map and Ordinance.  The board heard comments from Thomas Beyer, Pete Gaboda, Steve Yurasek, Dan Till, Ken Miller, Mindy Rodkey, Clair Michaels, Eugene Kist, Gary Stevens and Paulette Stevens.  Property owners where concerned over the change from Agriculture to Residential and questioned the need for change in zoning designation.  Many where concerned about being able to utilize land for agriculture and livestock, change would cause a tax increase, re-assessment , limit chance of oil/gas drilling, set backs and property development, limit sale of property as agricultural land.  Public comment continued for 40 minutes until session was closed.

Motion to approve the Minutes of the March 15, 2010 Meeting.
Motion: Bruce Baker, Second: Don Knopsnyder.  4 yes.  Motion Passed.


New Business: 
Review Site Plan for Shoemaker Monuments.  Motion to Approve:
Motion: Don Knopsnyder, Second: Bruce Baker.  4 yes.  Motion Passed.

Review the Site Plan for Dominion Natural Gas/Rager Mt. Station.  Motion to Approve.
Motion: Bruce Baker, Second: Don Knopsnyder.  4 yes.  Motion passed.
