MAY 17. 2004

The Jackson Township Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Bruce Baker on May 17, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. All members were present except for Laird Rager.

Public Comments
There were no public comments.

Don Knopsnyder made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 19, 2004 meeting. Seconded by Deb Nagle. All in favor. Motion passed.

There was no correspondence.

Old Business
Don Knopsnyder made a motion that the list of the 2nd round of street lights be sent to the supervisors to be considered for installation. Seconded by Laird Rager. All in favor. Motion passed.

New Business
Reviewed the subdivision of Ray and Mildred Durbin conveying 8.43 acres to David and Donna Durbin. Don Knopsnyder made a motion to table the subdivision until the non-building waiver was received. Motion was seconded by Laird Rager. Al Gailey abstained from voting. All in favor. Motion passed.

A discussion was held concerning the survey the Planning Commission has been asked to do by the supervisors. The survey is to be mailed to all the residents of the township to gather thoughts and ideas for future growth, recreation and development of the township. Members were asked to come up with questions that could be contained in the survey. Members are to bring their ideas to the next meeting so the survey can be compiled. Don Knopsnyder suggested inviting the Recreation Board to the next meeting to hear their ideas.

Don Knopsnyder made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Laird Rager seconded the motion. All in favor.
