The Jackson Township Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Paul Wyrwas at 6:32 PM on November 17, 2008. All members were present


Don Knopsnyder made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of October 20, 2008. The motion was seconded by Laird Rager. All in favor, motion passed.

Letter from Township Solicitor to Nanty Glo solicitor inquiring as to whether there was any interest in jointly leasing gas rights to property known as Lorraine Park which is located in both Jackson Township and Nanty Glo Borough.

The subdivision of Francis Friedhoff and Clarence Ling was reviewed. The subdivision was tabled. The map needs to show Friedhoff’s property and the portion being transferred to Ling. Also the existing home needs to be shown with the setbacks. A non-building waiver for the sewage exemption also needs to be completed and submitted. The existing septic system needs to be shown. Ling’s property also needs to be shown to show what is being added to his property. Al Gailey made a motion to reject the subdivision and the motion was seconded by Don Knopsnyder. All in favor. Motion passed.

No action was taken on the old subdivision of Alex and Josephine Ballow since several problems were noted. They will be notified of the problems and will have to submit a new subdivision.

Bruce Baker made a motion to add the subdivision of Dale and Margaret Wyse to the agenda. The motion was seconded by Don Knopsnyder. The subdivision was rejected at the October meeting because the setbacks were not met and the Wyse’s were referred to the Zoning Hearing Board for a possible variance. The variance was approved on November 3, 2008. Bruce Baker made a motion to approve the subdivision and to attach a copy of the conditions set by the Zoning Hearing Board. The motion was seconded by Paul Wyrwas. All in favor. Motion passed.

Paul Wyrwas said that the Commission should finalize the checklist of the completion of a subdivision.

Paul Wyrwas made a motion to adjourn at 7:16 PM. Motion was seconded by Al Gailey. All in favor. Motion passed.
